Sensei Keith MarshSensei Marsh began his martial arts training at age 9 under the instruction of Shihan Dennis Wright and his core of instructors at the Dojo of Self-Defense. He grew up in the dojo, achieving the rank of Sho-Dan (1st degree black belt) 7 years later when he was 16 years old. After four years away from the dojo to finish college, Marsh found his way back into Isshin Ryu Karate by studying with Wright disciples Master Tom Clarkin at the Bayonne AOKA in 2003 and privately with Master Paul Grywalski. During this time, he also became involved as an instructor with the Bayonne High School Karate League under Master George Wanko. Sensei Marsh has bolstered his training by studying other martial arts systems and incorporating them into his approach to the Isshin Ryu system. Sensei Marsh is currently a Yo-Dan (4th degree black belt) in Isshin Ryu Karate. He serves as the Bayonne High School Karate League Advisor and currently teaches classes at the Bayonne Martial Arts Center." |
